A Long Island native, Elken moved to Austin in 2019 after a 40-year stop-over in Ohio. "New York gave me my roots, but Ohio gave me my heart." Elken raised her three, now grown children, in Columbus, Ohio where she was a middle school teacher. Retiring after 30 years of teaching, she made a vow to do things that would make her uncomfortable.  Elken took a huge leap by selling her family home and moved back to New York where she returned to school and earned certification as an interior designer and started her own design business.

 

Now, Elken has returned to COLUMBUS and is finally home. She lives in the heart of downtown. You can find her walking, biking and jogging along the Scioto River, making friends with other creatives, checking out great vegetarian restaurants, baking up a storm, and spending time with four of her fabulous grandchildren. 

 

As a real estate agent, Elken has been a top producer in 2021. Earning the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation in 2020, is a way she stands out to prospective home buyers and sellers because she has gained in-depth market knowledge and increased her proficiency to enhance her professionalism and business success. Elken uses all this education and experience to help people buy or sell lease, by providing them with a level of service that combines all her years of expertise – an experience that they will always remember.
